The Otomi embroidery art called Tenango came from the indigenous people of Hidalgo, Mexico. They were masters at embroidery. Some believe that the figures used in the embroidery such birds and animals were inspired by nearby cave drawings.
Otomi art has became very popular for its unique and bright colors used in the embroidery.
Los Colores de Otomi Collection is inspired by this beautiful and unique Mexican art. Using oilcloth with Otomi like prints in three bold colors Orange, Blue and Pink. These bright colors are inspired by the beautiful bold colors used in Tenango Textiles. Collection includes a canvas tote bag, a cosmetic/toiletry zipper pouch and coin pouch.
Prints will be slightly different from picture as each is individually handmade.
